FACILITY

 River Mountain Farm opened its doors in 1990. The farm is located on 100 acres in Versailles, Ky. It is conveniently located one mile off the Bluegrass Parkway, ten minutes from the Bluegrass Airport.

 The layout of the farm is very horse and rider friendly with plenty of land to hack and condition outside of the ring. There are some cross country jumps and hills for fitness.

 The Main Barn has 22 stalls all with mats, automatic waterers, great ventilation and a friendly atmosphere. There are 2 wash stalls with warm water, 3 grooming stalls, 3 tack rooms, a laundry room, and 16 private tack lockers. The barn is attached to the indoor with a heated lounge and viewing area.

The Show Barn has 14 stalls all with mats, automatic waterers, great ventilation and plenty of natural light, a tack room and a wash stall.

The Training Barn has 12 stalls all with mats, great ventilation, a wash stall and feed/tack room.

The Broodmare Barn has 8 stalls including 2 foaling stalls, vet office, wash stall, and private foal paddocks.

Isolation /Quarantine Barn has four stalls, and private turnout.

The Indoor Arena : is 200 x 80 with a polytrack footing and an overhead watering system. It is also well ventilated with huge windows to let in plenty of natural light and fresh air, in addition to the great artificial lighting and music system.

Outdoor Arenas: There are 3 outdoor arenas with all weather footing that is maintained daily. A 200x200 arena with jumps, lights and a watering system, a dressage arena and a schooling area.

Cross Country Course: There are natural jumps located in our back field. We also have some hilly terrain to improve fitness and strength.

SERVICES

Lessons: Our staff offers lessons to students of all levels from beginners to advanced students in either private, semiprivate or small groups. We have great schoolmasters for lessons and welcome students who wish to ship in for training. Click HERE for more information.

Showing: RMF riders travel to both local and “A” rated shows primarily in the Midwest . Our show schedule accommodates riders of all levels. We offer horses for lease at local shows if you are unable to own one. We have a showing program for the beginner rider to the serious competitor trying to qualify for indoors.

Sales: We specialize is matching the horse and rider for success!! We generally have about a dozen quality sale horses and ponies in various price ranges. We import European Warmbloods as well as raise our own Warmbloods. Click HERE for our SALE PAGE.

Training: We offer full care training board for young horses that either need to be educated from the beginning or re-educated from a previous career. RMF has an outdoor all weather round pen which is ideal for starting youngsters.

Medical attention- We are fully equipped to handle most medical situations, injuries, and health problems on site. In the event of a situation we will keep you appraised and are happy to handle the care for you.

Clipping /Trimming – We are fully equipped for body clipping, mane pulling and other beauty treatments.

Other services: Other valuable services we can arrange are shoeing/corrective shoeing, chiropractic and acupuncture services, dental services, a meticulous vaccination and deworming program.

We can provide necessary transportation to one of three veterinary hospitals located in a 15 mile area. Video services can also be arranged. Our professional rider can keep your horse fit while you are away, or unable to ride, give it a tune up as needed, or even show it for you.
