Owners TREY SCHOTT DVM and ELAINE SCHOTT are both 3rd generation horse people.

ELAINE received her M.S. from the University of Kentucky which accompanies 30 years of professional experience. After graduating from UK with her B.A. Elaine became a riding instructor at the Margaret Hall School while completing her graduate studies. Upon completion of her graduate studies she worked at Masterson Station Park as the Park Director for 12 years. She was responsible for the care of horses and riders, put on horse shows, clinics, horse trials and lecture series. She was a professor of Equine Studies at Midway College for 5 years and Coach of their Intercollegiate Hunt Seat Team. As owner of River Mountain Farm, she has turned out very successful riders who have won National Championships. Amber Seigelman was the National Champion at the 2006 Pony Jumper Finals on The Waterboy. Tara Bramblett was the National Champion in Atlanta in the IHSA Intermediate Over Fences in 1999 and Lindsay Kendall was the National Reserve Champion at Cazenovia, NY in 2000. She puts the horses first and is devoted to her students. Elaine is currently serving on the KHJA
Board of Directors, USHJA Youth Committee and USHJA Zone 5 Board.

TREY is an '81 graduate of The Ohio State University Veterianry College, an accomplished horseman, equine veterinarian, and polo plalyer. He played polo professionally throughout the United States at a 5 goal rating. Trey is a local businessman, entrepreneur, and Ace Hardware affiliate. He oversees the health, nutrition and medical care of all horses at River Mountain Farm. Trey specializes in reproduction, farrier science, sport horses and lameness.

Their daughter, CALLIE SCHOTT was a very competitive Junior rider, winning the NAL Childrens Hunter Finals on homebred Miscongeniality, Junior Hunter Finals Grand Champion 16 & Under on Almost Famous, who campaigned at all of the Indoors Finals including Madison Square Garden twice. Callie rode for the UK Intercollegiate Team and was National Reserve Champion in May 2007 in the IHSA prestigious Cacchione Cup. She competed Wild Rose, a young imported Hanoverian and was Zone 5 Champion and 4th Nationally in the 18-35 Amateur Owner Division. Callie made her Professional debut in August 2008 and is currently in Florida with John Madden Sales.

NATASSIA HOVEY was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where she began her riding career.  She attended the University of Findlay upon deciding that she wanted to pursue a professional career as a hunter/jumper trainer.  Natassia competed on the Intercollegiate team, participating in the Nationals competition each year.  During the summers of her college years, Natassia interned at various sale and competition farms in Kentucky, New York, and California.  She graduated the University of Findlay in May of 2008 with a double major in Equine Science and Equine Business Management.  Natassia is glad to join the River Mountain Farm family and looks forward to teaching, riding, and developing new relationships.
