Lesson Program![]() RMF offers lessons on wonderful school masters who will build confidence for the beginner rider, and develop new skills if they are an intermediate or advanced rider. Between the great horses and the quality of the staff, each rider can learn at a comfortable pace which will allow them to be as competitive as they would like to be. The Lesson Program focuses on quality, not quantity, and each student will receive quality attention. Lessons can be arranged to suit the convenience of the rider’s schedule. The lighted arenas and all-weather footing are conducive to riding outdoors most of the time. The polytrack footing and lighted indoor arena make year round riding a possibility without weather interruptions. Private, semi-private, and small groups of 3-4 take place daily. Riders are placed with other riders of comparable riding abilities. ![]() The camaraderie that takes place at the barn is a strong, healthy influence on a developing young person. In today’s world of instant everything from technology to gratification, developing a relationship with a horse can be extremely rewarding. Communicating with a horse through body language, and with the natural and artificial aids that are taught in the lesson program, is a life lesson in patience, formulating and sticking to a plan, and the rewards that are associated with the progress. RMF offers a lease/half lease program where a rider may lease a horse and consider it theirs for daily riding and showing. Ask your instructor for more information and rates.
![]() River Mountain will lease lesson horses out to their riders to show both locally and at rated shows.
![]() Many riders ship in on their privately owned horses and join RMF boarders for lessons.
